Advisors

To promote the adoption of sustainability in projects, the LiderA system created the role of advisors—experts in the LiderA system—who, either partially or fully, act as facilitators in the pursuit of construction sustainability, working closely with developers, designers, and other key stakeholders.
The main activities of the facilitator (advisor) include acting as a consultant to the client, helping to assess the scope, identifying possible sustainable solutions, analysing their feasibility, facilitating the development of sustainable solutions, conducting integrative meetings, pre-assessing environmental positioning, making recommendations, organising evidence for certification, answering verifier questions, and ensuring compliance with the LiderA Code of Conduct.
Advisors in the LiderA System must be familiar with the approach, dimensions, areas, and criteria defined in the system to assess the environmental dimension of construction sustainability (building version) and understand their function and how to proceed.
Since November 2006, Advisor Training Courses (Environmental Certification and Sustainable Construction – LiderA System) have been held in Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro, Faro, and Coimbra to train and promote knowledge and the application of sustainable construction concepts according to the LiderA system. To date, 20 courses have been conducted.
Successful completion of the course by the participant, approval with a score of 80% or higher on evaluation requirements, and acceptance of the LiderA Code of Ethics qualifies them to be listed as advisors, presented alphabetically.
The current list of advisors is also available in PDF format.
