LiderA, an acronym for Lead by the Environment for Sustainable Construction, is a voluntary system that guides and certifies environments in the pursuit of sustainability in buildings and other built environments.

It enables the identification of ways to improve performance by considering value creation, classifying performance on a factorial scale where 1 represents standard practice (Class E), 2 signifies a two-fold improvement or a 50% increase in efficiency (Class A), and 10 indicates a ten-fold improvement (Class A++).

It develops an integrated approach encompassing environmental, social, and economic aspects, which includes twenty areas, ensuring a comprehensive view of the key aspects to consider for sustainability in construction.
It provides structure, guidance, and advisory services to efficiently achieve sustainability, based on the ambition and proven financial capacity involved. Its application ensures the guidance and certification of sustainability for different types (residential, tourism, services, commercial, mixed-use, and infrastructure), as well as different scales (from individual homes to areas) and various phases (design, construction, operation, and rehabilitation).
