Guidance and Advisory
To promote the adoption of sustainability in projects, the LiderA system created the role of advisors, who are experts in the LiderA system. They function as facilitators in the pursuit of sustainability in construction, working partially or fully with developers, designers, and other key stakeholders.
The main activities of the facilitator (advisor) are: acting as a consultant to the client, helping to assess the scope, identify sustainable solution possibilities, analyze their feasibility, facilitate the development of sustainable solutions, conduct integrative meetings, pre-assess environmental positioning, make recommendations, organise evidence for certification, respond to the verifier’s questions, and ensure compliance with the LiderA code of conduct.
LiderA system advisors must be familiar with the approach, aspects, areas, and criteria defined in the system to assess the environmental dimension of construction sustainability (building version), as well as the function and procedure for implementation.
In order to train and promote knowledge and application possibilities of sustainable construction concepts according to the LiderA system, Advisor Training Courses have been held since 2006.
Successful completion of the LiderA assessor course by the participant, approval of evaluation requirements equal to or greater than 80%, and acceptance of the LiderA System Code of Ethics allows the participant to be included in the list of advisors (Level 1), which is presented in alphabetical order in the certification menu (the list is in updated).
